On the 16th of August, ASCON participated in the exhibition at the 8th BRICS Ministers of Industry Meeting. The event was focused on the development of industrial cooperation between BRICS countries. The BRICS interstate association accounts for 45% of the world’s population and around 36% of the world’s GDP.
The meeting participants — representatives of nine countries and international organizations — explored ASCON developments in the field of digital design and additive manufacturing including KOMPAS-3D CAD system, Renga BIM solution, and Pilot-BIM software. These systems are based on C3D geometric kernel, a product of C3D Labs (part of ASCON).
Dmitry Ginda, Head of Marketing at ASCON Group: “The products with high export potential were selected for the exhibition. We’ve demonstrated one of the use case scenarios for our software — reverse engineering - to BRICS countries delegates. You can scan the item, process the resulting 3D model in KOMPAS-3D, and print it on a 3D printer. This technology is in demand when repairing the equipment for the rapid production of components and spare parts."
Since 2023, ASCON has accelerated its activities in BRICS countries’ markets. In addition to KOMPAS-3D CAD system and C3D geometric kernel traditionally presented abroad, Pilot-BIM construction projects data environment, and Renga BIM software for architectural design have been introduced to the foreign markets. ASCON is developing international business via local partners network in each country providing them with mechanical engineering and construction software solutions for product portfolio enhancement and new revenue opportunities. ASCON is open to collaboration with partners from China, India, Turkey, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, South Africa, and other countries.
