ASCON’s process design automation components allow supply developing of any enterprise’s bundled software. Considering following:

• Current enterprise’s task types,
• PDM- and ERP-systems in use,
• Composition and structure of manufacturing and engineering data.

Produce’s engineering information (3D-models, drawings, operational sketches and other graphical documents) is transferred from three-dimensional solid modelling system KOMPAS-3D to automated workflow design system in use at the enterprise. ASCON proposes to use VERTICAL-Technologia system, designed by ASCON’s specialists, as base CAPP solution.

Special modules for PDM/PLM system used at the enterprise will provide collaboration of VERTICAL-Technologia system or another software solution with PDM/PLM-system. Thus, workflow centralized storage in engineering data management system will be organized. Report preparation module (usually included in PLM system) can be used for receiving of consolidated reports and bills.

Workflows designed during these components of collaboration with PDM/PLM-systems were unavailable are saved locally (for example, in the desktop folder of production designer).

Production designer is constantly in need for different reference information (information about materials, equipment, tools etc.) for workflow development. Universal Processing Database and Materials Knowledge Database provide such kind of information. VERTICAL-Databases program is designed for administration, adjustment and creating of new databases.

Production designer also requires performing calculations besides of getting reference information. Application modules (Cutting Conditions Calculating System, Work Measurement System etc.) provide such kind of information. All of them can obtain tooling data from VERTICAL-Technolgia or another CAPP system, and reference data from Universal Processing Database and Corporate Databases.
