ASCON Group to announce results of the year 2008

ASCON, one of the leading developer of CAD/AEC/PLM solutions, at an annual press conference presented an overall results of its activity for the last year.

The company's annual sales turnover in 2008 amounted to 30,6 million $, what is 14% more than outcome of 2007. Currently list of customers of commercial versions of ASCON solutions consists of about 4500 enterprises and companies in different industries: machinery, automotive, shipbuilding, aerospace and defence, architecture, electronics and many others. Fraction of big contracts in sales structure increased: during last year were concluded 2 agreements with value over 1 million dollars USA, 3 contracts – more than 500 thousands dollars and 32 – exceed 100 thousands dollars. Considerably growth rate in industry segment was shown in oil and gas – almost two times increase of sales volume in compare with prior period. 55% growth was recorded in one of the most priority directions of ASCON – automation of engineering and construction design. New version of company's MCAD solution, KOMPAS-3D V10, was launched with a great success, the software became more available for users all other the world with the fully localization of German version and with appearance of KOMPAS-3D in Polish and Chinese, substantial extending of resellers network made KOMPAS even closer to users, ASCON took part in many international fairs (Hannover Messe, EuroMold etc.) and as a result got a lot of prosperous contacts and partners.

In the current year of company's 20th anniversary, ASCON to continue further development and release of its high-technology, powerful and innovative CAD/AEC/PLM solutions. By estimates of Maxim Bogdanov, CEO of ASCON Group, this year according to existing economical situation is expected a reducing of investments in IT area and value of average contract. ASCON always tried to meet demands of its customers and now will pursue a policy of collaboration with them by offering its professional, modern and what is very important now cost-effective solutions, which allow fast implementation in production and as a result return of investments in a very short period of time. The company has already addressed new offers with flexible pricing policy to its customers: discounted update from Demo and LT version of KOMPAS-3D to Professional License within one month after downloading of freeware, software for rent, cross updates and CAD trade-in.
